The beautiful sun has finally come out, and it’s time to bring out our big and strong life-long friends. They’ve taken men into battle, entertained us, and offered the much-needed companionship. And in 2018, horse lovers continue to celebrate this relationship in style.
Several events have already gone down this year, but there is more coming your way. Here awesome the dates that any horse enthusiast should mark on their calendar.
Barbury horse trials (5 – 8 July)
The world’s best riders and horses will assemble at the heart of Wiltshire to showcase their skills in this three-day event. And if past Barbury events are anything to go by, this event will be filled with sheer fun and great shopping opportunities for the whole family!
Royal International horse show (24 – 29 July)
Flagged off by the Queen herself, this event is undoubtedly one of the best equestrian events of all time. It attracts all the big names in the horse riding scene and is an excellent place to socialize and have some family fun in West Sussex!
London Global Championship tours (3 – 5 Aug)
For the first time in its long history, this event will switch venues to the home of Chelsea Flower shows – the Royal Hospital Chelsea. This high caliber event will host several Olympic gold medalists and local champions alike. So, if you’ll be in London during this time, be sure to drop by for some show jumping action!
Festival of British eventing (3 – 5 Aug)
This spectacular show takes place in Gatcombe Park, in one of the beautiful areas of Cotswolds. It has been around for the last 35 years, with each event being better than the previous. And is the only equestrian event that has five championships running side by side. So, you are assured of nothing but breathtaking action as the riders and horses battle it out on the most challenging and competitive sport – eventing.
